Unforunately I won’t be making it to NIWeek this year, but I’m curious as to what they’ll be presenting at the Robotics Summit. One of the sessions will be talking about hacking the Xbox Kinect (which Ryan Gordan has done already, mentioned from my previous post.) However, I haven’t had time to play around with the OpenKinect DLLs to get skeletal data showing in LabVIEW, I think that really would be the ultimate goal.
Word has it that Microsoft has released their own SDK, this might prove easier to integrate than some of the open-source stuff (hopefully.) Let’s see if we can get a tune out of this trumpet. Stay tuned …
